Definition:
A rare autosomal recessive degenerative disorder which usually presents in late childhood or adolescence. Clinical manifestations include progressive muscle spasticity; hyperreflexia; muscle rigidity; dystonia; dysarthria; and intellectual deterioration which progresses to severe dementia over several years.
