Abstract: Occult macular dystrophy is a rare macular disorder in which patients have bilaterally decreased visual acuity without any significant ophthalmoscopic findings. Using spectral domain optical coherence tomography, the authors found a defect in the junction between the inner and outer segments of the foveal photoreceptors in a patient with occult macular dystrophy.
